How a commercial job runs

  1. Site survey

We look at the building, access for machinery and lorries, the services and the neighbouring properties.

  2. Written quote

You get a clear written quote, with the value of anything worth reclaiming reflected in the price.

  3. Paperwork

The Section 80 notice, method statement and waste management plan are prepared and submitted, and RAMS are in place before work starts.

  4. Strip-out

Fixtures, fittings and non-structural elements come out first, with materials separated for reuse and recycling.

  5. Demolition

The structure is taken down in a planned sequence, keeping the site safe for the public and neighbouring businesses.

  6. Clear site

Waste is sorted, over 90% of materials are recovered and reused, and the site is left ready for the next stage.

Questions about commercial demolition

Do you take on commercial and industrial demolition?

Yes. We handle everything from small residential strip-outs to complex commercial and industrial projects, including controlled structural demolition where nearby structures need protecting.

Can you strip out an office or shop before a refit?

Yes. A strip-out removes fixtures, fittings and non-structural elements so the building is ready for its new layout, or for demolition. Waste is sorted and over 90% of materials are recovered and reused.

What paperwork do you provide?

We prepare and submit the Section 80 notice, method statement and waste management plan, and provide risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) before work starts. We are fully insured, with public liability cover.

Does a commercial building need an asbestos survey before demolition?

Yes. Before a building is demolished or stripped out it needs a refurbishment and demolition asbestos survey. Any asbestos it finds has to be removed before the work starts, and licensed asbestos work must be done by a contractor licensed by the HSE.

How soon can you start?

We're available seven days a week and can often fit in urgent or short-notice work. Where a Section 80 notice is needed, demolition can't start until the council has responded or six weeks have passed, so it's worth booking your survey early.

Which areas do you cover?

We work across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, including Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton and Salisbury, from our base at Three Legged Cross, near Wimborne.
